I knew we would be shooting outdoors in my neighborhood, so my challenge was to create different looks without actually needing a place to change. I've said it before, and I'll say it again-accessories make or break an outfit.
I found a dress in my closet that I have had for more than a year, but for some reason never worn. It was the perfect piece to create multiple looks with.
Sweet:
A sweet look was easy to do since the dress itself is very doll-like. I kept it simple with a necklace (which we pinned in my hair) and some platform booties.
Eclectic:
If something is eclectic that means it employs things from a variety of sources, so technically the majority of my outfits qualify. But for something to look eclectic to me that means to combine unlikely things, often with a hint of vintage. I chose soft brown leather oxfords with a turquoise sole, a bright turquoise feather earring, and a croptop featuring two swans in love. the dusty rose of the crop worked to offset the turquoise while the naturals of black white and brown worked together for an overall eclectic look.
Urban:
To give this cute, girly dress a more street credible urban feel I just threw on a beanie, a baseball jacket, and some platform loafers. This might be my favorite of the three looks I did with this dress because it's unexpected. I feel like most people wouldn't look at this dress as "street wear" and that's why I had to wear it that way.
I hope you enjoyed these looks. All photos courtesy and copyright of Bridgette O'Leary photography.
