Rebel Eight with Neon Highlights

Rebel Eight is a very cool streetwear brand made by the very legitimate graffiti artist Mike Giant. Mostly their clothes are for men, but I was lucky to  score a women's crop top. When my boyfriend bought mine, the only size left was a large so I would guess they run pretty short! I paired mine with new spiked shorts from Forever 21. I wouldn't recommend them. Although they're a cheap alternative to most of the high waisted shorts out there, I've only worm them once and they already lost 4 spikes. Not cool! Since the graphic on the tee has bright orange I wore bright orange lipstick (Morange by MAC) hot pink rose earrings, a neon green belt from JC Penney, and bright turquoise sandals from Ross. For metallic accents I also added my boombox necklace, some skull rings, and a few bracelets. How would you style this fun crop top?

You've Got To Earn Your Leather In This Part Of Town

That's right, it's back.
The leather jacket and corset combo that I added spikes to for the Gaga concert.

But this time there's a message:

Now, it's in motion in my first ever modeling video.
(If the video isn't working watch it on YouTube)

This look was about attitude.
It's about fierce.
And maybe you wouldn't rock all of this for an everyday occurrence, but there are style notes you can take away from it:
  • It's ok for your tights to go above your shorts if it's obvious you meant it to be that way.
  • Same is true with showing the pockets of your shorts. Feel free to decorate them as well.
  • The more rings the better.
  • Leather + Spikes = instant badass
  • Combat boots are an absolute must-have item
  • Attitude is everything. If you look uncomfortable, it is obvious. If you act like you're totally pulling it off, other people will think you are too.

Hot Beach! Easy Vintage Beach Style

Summer in Seattle is shortlived so live it up.
This outfit came together so easily, and is a great option for a more covered up beach look.
Add lots of earrings because beach hair usually ends up in a bun, and earrings don't give you tan lines.
A combination of stripes and a bra-style top makes a vintage/pinup feel easy for anyone.
Swimsuit top from Target
Skirt from Nordstrom Rack
Ear cuff and earrings from Forever 21 and Hot Topic

The Summer Flannel- How To Wear Your Winter Fave

As a  Seattle dweller it seems necessary to take note of the plaid shirt. Summer doesn't seem to be the season to wear a long sleeved cotton button-up, but this piece is standing it's ground. How? As an accessory.
Guys and girls alike are donning their favorite plaid shirts as an accent piece instead of a staple. The 90's era is all the rage right now, so it only makes sense that we would see plaid displayed in an oh-so-grungey way. What do you think of the look?

Celebrity Style-The Boyfriend Jean

The boyfriend jean is cute, it is easy, it is comfortable, and it is expensive?

Gap-$74.95

One Teaspoon- $149.99

Not necessarily. Girls "boyfriend jeans" are selling for $50.00 and more, but when it came time for me to grab a pair I headed over to the men's section and spent a whopping 20 bucks. Here's a hint for shopping: check clearance. That's where you'll find the skinnier cuts or more feminine details because.. guys don't want them! I found my pair at Target. You can always distress a pair yourself too with some sandpaper, bleach, a razor and a little time and dedication.

Here's how a few celebrities are wearing theirs:
Rihanna's holographic look.

Gwen Stefani styled hers with a cool belt and strappy heels

Miley's controversial pair with rocker cool leather accents.

As you can see, a masculine pair of pants is best dressed with feminine accents or some bare skin. I like them with a crop top as you can see here, but pumps and a bustier top is a great look too. Happy styling!

Faux Bob Hairstyle How To

Inspiration:
Emma Watson's faux bob

How I did it:
I wanted to emulate the look of this cute faux bob, but I wanted mine to be a little longer.
  • Start with Straight hair

  • Part the hair into two sections, but make sure to leave plenty at the top.

  • Pin the bottom section into a low bun. Try to make the bun as flat as possible, especially if you have thin hair like I do.  This bun will come in handy in the next step.

  • Secure the top section in a very very loose low ponytail. Don't use a fat hair-tie like the one I used. It was all I had and it actually didn't work. I just twisted the end and flipped the hair underneath itself to pin into the bun.

That's all there is to it! Pin any loose peices up into the bun and use some hairspray to secure it. Some pieces will probably fall down later, but it's part of the look, just go with it!
